JCB’s range includes several types of electric generators suitable for a variety of uses. Here’s a breakdown of features to consider so you can choose the best generator for your needs:

• Will you be using your electric generator as a prime power type (generators that are used as a primary power source) or as a standby power type (generators that are used as a backup to mains supply power)? 
• Do you need an electric generator to be permanently installed, or do you need a rental-type generator for mobile use? 
• Do you need your electric generator to be Zero Noise or Zero Emissions? If so then consider a single phase or three phase electric Powerpack

Attention to detail sets a JCB Powerpack apart from the competition. Telematics are fitted as standard with 3 years of airtime, so you can monitor your asset and ensure it’s always operating at peak performance and peak efficiency. Plus, the Powerpack can be remotely programmed to turn sockets on and off via JCB Livelink, ensuring you don’t waste battery power on non-essential equipment.

The award-winning JCB 19C-1E mini excavator, launched in March 2018, is the first of the electric generation and the industry’s first fully electric mini excavator, with zero emissions at the point of use. With a combined tear out force of 27.1kN and a transport weight of just 1,872 kg, the 19C-1E offers powerful zero emission performance in a compact package.

This varies depending on the model of mini digger within JCB’s range, JCB’s smallest mini digger the JCB 8008 CTS micro excavator has a maximum dig depth of 1.69m, whereas the largest model, the JCB 100C-2 midi excavator has a maximum dig depth of 5.09m. The 19C-1E electric excavator operates using a 4 battery pack which, when fully charged, will complete a full day’s work. The machine’s battery will last for 5 hours of full-time operation, which equates to a full day on site when you account for downtime.  
The on board charger gives a 20-80% charge time of 10.5 hours from a 110V supply or 5 hours from a 240V supply. The fast charge option has a charging time from empty of 2.5 hours from a 415V supply.

Part of JCB’s 3.5 tonne range, JCB’s 36C-1 has a maximum lift capacity of 2063 kg at ground level. 

With a conventional tailswing for greater stability, it has an operating weight of 3,759 kg, a maximum dig depth of 3.48 m, maximum dump height of 3.53 m, and an 18.4 kW engine power. 
For context, this makes it ideal for construction projects, ground working, and garden landscaping.

The size and usability of a mini digger means they are the perfect machine for all sorts of jobs.

The smaller mini excavators in JCB’s range, like the JCB 8008 CTS micro excavator, is small enough to fit through doorways, making it a perfect machine for long-term building projects. Whereas some of the larger mini diggers in JCB’s range, like the JCB 100C-2 midi excavator, are heavy duty, reliable machines capable of moving large amounts of materials with ease.

When considering a mini digger vs. micro digger, it really comes down to size, weight and the area you have to work in. Micro diggers like the JCB 8008 and 8008E are the smallest machines for the tightest spaces, and usually weigh around 1 tonne. Mini diggers range from 1.5 to 8 tonnes, so there's much more variation in this category of machine. In addition to these more compact models, JCB also stocks larger midi excavators including the 60C-2, 85Z-2, 90Z-2 and the 10-tonne 100C-2.

JCB’s smallest mini excavator is the 8008 CTS Micro Excavator. With an operating weight of only 950kg, the 8008 CTS Micro Excavator is a compact machine perfect for a variety of jobs, it is even small enough to fit through doorways, meaning it can be used both indoors and outdoors.
