Will a brush cutter machine cut brambles?

Yes. When tackling thick areas of vegetation, it is necessary to choose a robust cutting tool. Using a brush cutter blade for brambles is an ideal choice for clearing or thinning out these areas.

What is a dozer blade?

A dozer blade is a machine attachment. It has a large, flat blade that can be mounted at the front of your machine, essentially converting your machine into a compact dozer. This attachment is designed to push or move large quantities of material efficiently and easily.

Our JCB dozer blade features:

  • 76 mm diameter centre pin with hardened steel bushings for outstanding strength.
  • Tilt indicator that is easily viewed from the operator's seat.
  • Long-term durability with reversible bolt-on steel cutting edge, high carbon replaceable steel skid shoe and heavy-duty cast moldboard.
  • Easily adjustable tilt and angle functions that can be adapted on-the-go, and JCB multi-function controls.

How deep does a stump grinder go?

To remove a tree stump, you only need to go 100mm below the level site - but how deep can a JCB stump grinder go?

Our standard flow stump grinder is capable of operating at a below-ground depth of 255mm, ensuring effective stump removal. And for bigger jobs, our high-flow stump grinder can efficiently operate at a below-ground depth of 305mm.

How much fuel can a JCB Powerpack save?

In a hybrid application alongside a diesel generator, the JCB Powerpack can reduce fuel consumption (and CO2 emissions) by up to 65% by automatically turning off the diesel engine during inefficient low load periods.

What are the different types of electric generators?

JCB’s range includes several types of electric generators suitable for a variety of uses. Here’s a breakdown of features to consider so you can choose the best generator for your needs:

  • Will you be using your electric generator as a prime power type (generators that are used as a primary power source) or as a standby power type (generators that are used as a backup to mains supply power)?
  • Do you need an electric generator to be permanently installed, or do you need a rental-type generator for mobile use?
  • Do you need your electric generator to be Zero Noise or Zero Emissions? If so then consider a single phase or three phase electric Powerpack

With over 50 models to choose from, there’s a JCB electric generator for everybody, and all generators (even non JCB generators) can be coupled with a JCB Powerpack to create a hybrid electric generator giving tremendous savings in fuel and money.

Is lithium-ion safe?

A JCB Powerpack is designed with safety at its core. An all-steel enclosure houses automotive-grade batteries, specifically designed for mobile applications. JCB also carries out stringent EMC tests to ensure the highest levels of electrical safety. Safety features include 1.6mm steel enclosure for maximum protection, UN-certified Li-ion batteries, and a full EMC certification.

What is the best generator for power cuts in the UK?

Are diesel or petrol generators best for UK power cuts? While petrol generators are a cost-efficient option for small or short-term jobs, diesel generators are more fuel-efficient, durable, and well-suited to operate in colder conditions and on bigger projects.

JCB’s extensive range of diesel generators are an ideal solution to keep your business running in the case of a mains power cut. Built with the best quality components, our generators are trusted throughout the UK and beyond, so you can count on them to be relied upon in a power emergency. But there’s no need to leave it to chance - our extensive dealer network is available to provide service support up and down the UK, and you can use our telematics LiveLink system to monitor your generator’s performance during a power cut.

How often does it need servicing?

With no fluids or filters to change, the JCB Powerpack doesn’t need servicing beyond visual inspections and cleaning.

What’s the smallest generator I can buy?

The smallest, quietest diesel generators we offer make up our compact range, covering 18kVA to 220kVA. The compact generator range provides excellent, efficient performance while maintaining low-noise and less space.

All JCB generators have been specially designed to be as small and compact as possible, so they take up a minimal amount of space and are efficient to transport. So, even for larger power output requirements, our mid-range generators, covering 250kVA-780kVA, are still designed to take up the smallest feasible space.
