What is a G-Drive engine?

A G-Drive engine is a generator specification engine with a similar assembly to an IPU engine. The G-Drive products include everything that the OEM Base engines include, plus a fan, radiator cooling pack, air induction system and associated mounts and brackets.

What is a base engine?

A JCB base engine will compromise of an engine with basic ancillaries such as alternator and belt drive, as well as engine aftertreatment (where applicable).

What is Autostop?

Autostop helps reduce fuel consumption by automatically shutting down the machine when not in use as well as preventing excessive idle times, which reduce machine clock hours. It is operator configurable using the easy to use intuitive interface, allowing working patterns to be taken into consideration.

How long is the tour?

The duration of JCB's Factory Tour is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes and covers nearly 3 miles therefore individuals with walking difficulties may find the tour unsuitable.

Can a JCB Fastrac go on the motorway?

Driving a JCB Fastrac on the motorway depends on the local legislation in your area, and the specification of your particular machine. For specific guidance on your model, contact your local JCB dealer - you can find them by using our Dealer Locator.

What shoes are appropriate?

In order to participate in the Factory Tour, it is essential all visitors wear closed toe shoes (i.e. no sandals or flip flops). Failure to do so will result in the individual being unable to participate in the factory tour. JCB will provide all other PPE on site (Hi Viz, glasses & ear protection).

Is there wheelchair access?

JCB is a wheelchair friendly site, however your Tour Guide is responsible for the welfare of the entire group and as such, we ask anybody in a wheelchair to organise their own assistance within the group, if they are unable to manoeuvre themselves.

What are the maximum numbers for a JCB Factory Tour?

What is the age restriction for our tours?

All visitors must be 15 years old or over.

What clothes should I bring?

A short part of the tour requires guests to walk outside therefore appropriate clothing for the weather conditions should be worn.
