Bell Plant Ltd has cemented its loyalty to JCB and the X Series range with an order for 21 new tracked excavators.

A JCB customer for more than 40 years, the subsidiary of Gloucestershire-based KW Bell Group, has bought the brand-new X Series models to work on civil engineering and groundworks projects on Bell Contracting and Bell Homes housebuilding sites.

Supplied by dealer Holt JCB, Bell Plant Ltd’s order comprises JCB 140X and 220X models which join the company’s 100-strong JCB fleet. They were recently handed over to KW Bell Group Managing Director Peter Bell at JCB’s World Headquarters along with a commemorative signed picture from Lord Bamford to celebrate his many years of loyal business.

In its 40-year history, four generations of the Bell family have been involved in the business, with Peter and his daughters Nicola and Natalie and granddaughter Amelia now working together side-by-side.

Receiving the personal gift meant everything. I was really taken a back and it brought a few tears to the eyes. It’s the fact that he took that personal time to handwrite the note that goes to show Lord Bamford and JCB value the other family businesses and that we all support each other. It’s an amazing honour.

Peter Bell | KW Bell Group Managing Director

“The dealership relationship is one of the main reasons we buy JCB as the support they give us is very important as well as the reliability of the machines and the fact that JCB is British. Customer care is at the top of their list - we can’t fault Holt JCB.

We know how good the X Series is from our history with the machine dating back to the first 220X models when they were launched. It comes down to the performance, efficiency and the reliability of the machine and they’ve got a great track record“

Bell Plant Ltd is a division of KW Bell Group, a group of companies originally founded by Keith Bell in 1965. Formerly known as K.W.Bell & Son Ltd, the company based in Cinderford, Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, has successfully constructed over 800 homes in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and throughout South Wales over the past 20 years.
