Sustainability

As a responsible company, JCB has the greatest respect for the environment, it's employees and the communities in which we operate as these have underpinned our success over the past 65 years.

The world is changing and we have to realign our responsibilities accordingly - we need to respond to the threat of climate change. Whether it's our business operations, our products or our own personal lives we must rise to the challenge of minimising our environmental impact wherever possible.

As we emerge from the recession, we mustn't lose sight of improving our environmental performance particularly with the pressures that growth brings. We must do everything that is reasonable and practically possible to optimise the benefits and minimise the impact we have on our environment footprint and the communities in which we operate.

JCB Sustainable Innovation is our philosophy and strategy which focuses on the challenges of minimising our environmental impact and supporting the communities in which we operate. It combines JCB Think Eco which is concerned with our business operations and encompasses pollution prevention, waste management, energy efficiency, carbon management, travel and our supply chain; JCB Efficient Design, which focuses on product responsibility; and JCB Community, which delivers our social engagement programmes to our employees and the communities in which we operate.
