Open to all, the competitive Lakeside 5-mile race and 2-mile fun run will take place around the iconic JCB World HQ in Rocester. The terrain will be a mixture of road and surfaced paths with some, but not all, closed to traffic. First aid, water stations and marshals will be situated along the route.
Parking, changing and toilet facilities will be available on site at the JCB sports ground. For participants in the Lakeside 5 run, this event will be chip timed, and collection of these and your number will also be available at the JCB sports ground. The registration desk will be open from 5.30pm and will close promptly at 7pm. Please arrive as early as possible to avoid delays.
All profits from the JCB Lakeside 5 and Fun Run – which has been staged since 1983 - will be donated to JCB’s £2 million NSPCC Appeal to help support the charity’s work with children in Staffordshire. Last year’s Lakeside 5 saw over 360 people take part which raised over £4,000 for the NSPCC – a feat which would not have been possible without our participants.
