Why is JCB using hydrogen?
To reach net-zero targets for construction equipment, JCB need to use alternative fuels to fossil fuels. While bio-based fuels offer carbon reduction, they do not eliminate carbon emissions from the machine. How long does the JCB E-Tech range take to charge?
Our machines have different charge times but each machine can be charged within 2 hours 30 minutes with the JCB universal fast charger. Please see the Fast Charger brochure to find out more about charge times and infrastructure for your machine.
Are there any daily checks or additional maintenance for electric products?
There is no additional maintenance required on the lithium-ion batteries. With our electric machines, daily checks are reduced to a minimum to maximise productivity to keep your business moving.
Does JCB machines support type 2 (automotive connector) charging?
All JCB machines do not support Type 2 connectors (Automotive) but the situation is being continually monitored in line with industry regulations.

How do I know if the machine is charging and when it is fully charged?
When the machine is charging it will pulse green at the charge point and when the machine is fully charged it will be solid green to indicate a full charge is complete.
