10 TON COMPACT EXCAVATOR
JCB is set to launch a 10 metric ton conventional tailswing compact excavator to meet the growing demand from customers in the USA, the UK, France and Germany. The 100C-1 is based on the frame of the recently released 8.6 metric ton 86C-1 compact machine, but with a more powerful engine, larger dig end and increased hydraulic capacity to boost performance. -
US BUILT RENTAL BACKHOE
JCB’s popular entry-level 3CX, a 14’ full size backhoe loader, is now being built at the firm’s US headquarters in Savannah GA, allowing the company to react rapidly to North American customer demands. The US-built machine boasts a class leading 13,063 lb. loader breakout force and 6,354 lbf loader lift capacity to its full height. The excavator bucket has a 13,942 lb. breakout force. It is powered by a JCB Ecomax Tier 4 Final engine delivering 74 hp. This highly efficient power plant has no requirement for a costly Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) or any form of exhaust after-treatment, reducing operating costs for customers and simplifying on site operation. -

HLAVINKA DEALER NETWORK
The Hlavinka Equipment Company, headquartered in East Bernard, Texas, will be opening a new division, Hlavinka JCB, in Victoria, Texas. Founded in 1939 as Boettcher-Hlavinka Co., the company currently has 156 employees spread throughout eight locations on the Texas coastal plains, including East Bernard, Rosenberg, Nome, El Campo, Bay City, Taft, Victoria and Angleton. -
Unveils Ecomax Tier 4
JCB’s Tier 4 Final engine strategy builds on the success of the highly efficient JCB Ecomax T4i engine that has been in use in most JCB machines. Engines over 74 hp meet stringent Tier 4 Final emissions legislation by using a compact, highly efficient SCR system for NOx reduction, while engines less than 74 hp require no after-treatment to meet the new regulations by using innovative, efficient combustion technology to deal with emissions within the engine combustion chamber. -
Next Step Engine
JCB has announced the next stage of its engine strategy with the news it has forged a partnership with a leading global manufacturer to produce engines for its compact equipment.
