JCB Power Systems has appointed HG Makelim Co., headquartered in San Francisco, California, as a new distributor of JCB engines in North America.

JCB Power Systems has appointed a new distributor to extend sales coverage in North America for the JCB engine range. M&L Engines, based in Schriever, Louisiana, will provides sales and service support to OEM customers in Mississippi, Tennessee and Louisiana.

JCB North America today announced the availability of two new compact excavators designed to meet the needs of construction, landscaping and rental customers. The largest of the two machines is the 19C-1, a 4,211 lb (1.9 tonne) conventional tailswing model. The smaller 18Z-1 has an operating weight of 3,856 lb (1.8 tonne) and is JCB’s first zero tailswing machine in the1-2 ton excavator class.

JCB’s North American dealer network is expanding with the addition of Sigma JCB, a division of Sigma Equipment, located at 7400 NW 79th Ave. in Miami, FL. The company will sell, rent and service JCB’s utility and earthmoving equipment, including compact excavators, backhoe loaders, skid steers, compact track loaders, telehandlers, large excavators and wheel loaders.

JCB will host its seventh annual MudFest on Saturday, June 16 with more than 1,500 people registered to enjoy the mud run, food, live music and entertainment. Proceeds will benefit The Lady Bamford Center for Early Childhood Development, located in Savannah.

The first of JCB’s new X-series range of tracked excavators, the 220X is the product of a four-year development program to set new industry standards for dependability, controllability and operator comfort in the 20-ton excavator class.
