JCB will host its seventh annual MudFest on Saturday, June 16 with more than 1,500 people registered to enjoy the mud run, food, live music and entertainment. Proceeds will benefit The Lady Bamford Center for Early Childhood Development, located in Savannah.

“The annual MudFest is a fantastic opportunity for JCB people to show their appreciation for our community and to raise funds for the important work done by The Lady Bamford Center,” said Richard Fox-Marrs, president and CEO for JCB North America. “It’s exciting to open our beautiful facility to the public and to raise money for a great cause. And we have a lot of fun using JCB machines to work building the most unique race course in the area.”

Participants will compete as a solo runner or a team to complete a muddy 5-mile muddy course that includes more than 40 obstacles and a splash through the JCB lake, or a less strenuous 5-kilometer course.

Runners will tackle numerous trails that test their endurance and willingness to get muddy before approaching an over-sized “mud slide” just in front of the finish line, a new feature in 2016 that proved popular among participants and spectators alike. After the races, attendees can celebrate with food, sponsored by Jim ‘N Nicks in Pooler and music, including live band “Even Pete,” sponsored by Coca Cola®.

“We are so thankful for each and every sponsor, runner, volunteer and media outlet whose support helps make this event a success,” said Pam Veiock, events and community relations manager for JCB North America. “We’re looking forward to another great event this year, and we invite the entire community to come join in the fun!”

MudFest benefits The Lady Bamford Center for Early Childhood Development.
