SWIMMING CLUB’S STROKE OF GOOD LUCK THANKS TO JCB DONATION

Cheadle Swiming Club Donation News

A Staffordshire Moorlands swimming club is set to dive into a successful new era thanks to a donation from JCB.

Cheadle and District Swimming Club has taken delivery of an £8,200 set of six new diving blocks designed to improve training for members and to enhance race events at their South Moorlands Leisure Centre base.

Run by volunteers, the swimming club has almost 130 members ranging from three-year-old beginners through to county, regional and national competition standard swimmers.

We have been based at Cheadle for more than 50 years and we are proud to have coached hundreds of young people to successfully compete at county, regional and national standard. Having the right equipment – especially professional standard diving blocks - is vital to allow our children and visiting competitors to perform to the best of their ability.

Steve Spooner | Club Chairman

“The club is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to give young people the best opportunities to achieve their full potential as swimmers and we cannot thank JCB enough for their support and investment in our community.”

Cheadle and District Swimming Club is always keen to welcome new members. To find out more visit www.cheadleswimmingclub.com/
