How does intelligent compaction work?
INTELLICOMPACTION is an intelligent compaction roller that helps operators be more efficient with compaction levels and manage their workload.
Linked to the in-cab display, it updates the operator on the condition of the compacted surface area by measuring the ICV (INTELLICOMPACTION value), a relative value.
This identifies hard and soft spots, monitoring the level of compaction before sending real-time updates – alerting the operator when there is a risk of over-compaction.

INTELLICOMPACTION’s intelligent compaction technology works in partnership with JCB LiveLink, our own telematics and fleet management solution.
INTELLICOMPACTION is integrated with LiveLink to allow better process control and help you save time and fuel. It reduces the number of passes against the guesswork process, meaning quicker identifying of weak compaction spots. All this helps you to avoid additional passes after the actual rolling of the layer.
