FAQ's

The engine life can be maximised by following the JCB maintenance schedule and servicing using genuine JCB parts and lubricants. Over time, JCB engines can also be overhauled and rebuilt to extend their working life.
Yes, prolonged periods of low engine load can damage the engine and may cause glazing to the bores. For Tier 4 engines you could prematurely poison the SCR cannister and on Stage V engines you could significantly block the DPF.
JCB engines are built in the JCB state of the art engine factory in Derbyshire, UK.
The engine rating is the maximum mechanical power output of the engine. There is no limit to how long JCB engines can operate at full rated power for, however the recommended duty cycle is an average of 75% of rated power.
