JCB helps young footballers kick off the year in style
The Club, which trains at The Washlands in Burton, is one of the largest grassroots junior clubs in the Derbyshire and Burton league with 17 boys’ and girls’ teams across all age groups.
“The Club has expanded rapidly over the years to now provide training and competitive football opportunities to more than 250 young people from Hatton and the surrounding area. To keep our Club growing and offering opportunities to children from across the area, while keeping costs to parents as low as possible, we rely on the generosity of local sponsors. We are extremely grateful to JCB for its support which will mean the under-8s not only look smart in their new match day kit but also remain warm through the colder months. It has been a strong start for 2026 and the new tops have definitely given them a boost this season.”
Matt Underwood | Chairman at Hatton United Junior FC
The under-8s team has nine players, including three youngsters who are also part of the Burton Albion Academy. Hatton United Junior FC was founded in 2014 and currently supports a mixture of boys’ and girls’ teams aged from five to 18.
