JCB will exhibit a range of rental-ready machines “built to a higher level” at the 2018 Rental Show, hosted by the American Rental Association in New Orleans, Louisiana, from February 19-21. The event will be the North American debut for the new JZ141D, a reduced-tailswing excavator in the 33,000 lb class, and the 510-42 Loadall telehandler with 10,000 lb lift capacity and 42-foot lift height. Another first on the JCB booth (#6439) will be canopy-equipped versions of the company’s in-demand 3CX backhoe loader and 3TS-8T Teleskid compact track loader.

The JCB booth will also feature JCB Access electric scissor lifts, the 505-20 Loadall telehandler and the 210T, a small-platform compact track loader with large-platform horsepower and hydraulics.

“JCB is committed to providing the rental industry with the machines, the capabilities and the value necessary to operate increasingly profitable rental operations,” said Steve Fox, president of Direct Sales and Product for JCB North America. “The JZ141 excavator and 510-42 Loadall are the latest in the range of rental-ready JCB machines that deliver the performance that renters want and the lower cost of ownership, ease of use and higher residual values that rental professionals demand.”

The new JZ141 is the only 33,000 lb excavator on the market that requires no diesel particulate filter (DPF), no diesel engine fluid (DEF), and no engine aftertreatment. Its reduced tailswing design enables enhanced maneuverability and safety within confined work sites, and an impressive 20,682 lbf bucket tearout, high-strength boom and dipper and an ergonomically designed cab with intuitive controls make it a highly productive solution for a range of rental applications. The 510-42 Loadall is a telescopic handler with a 10,000 lb maximum lift capacity and 42-foot lift height that requires no outriggers. The 510-42 is available with a JCB EcoMAX109 hp engine requiring no DPF, or a 74 hp engine requiring no DPF or DEF. Developed in direct response to a rental customer request, the 510-42 was first announced in August 2017 and will be displayed for the first time at the 2018 Rental Show. “In addition to our new machines, we are excited to reveal new canopy versions of the 3CX backhoe loader the JCB Teleskid compact track loader, in response to feedback from rental professionals throughout North America,” Fox continued.

The JCB Teleskid is the world’s only skid steer and compact track loader with a telescopic boom, allowing operators to lift above 13 feet, reach forward 8 feet and dig 3 feet below grade. Launched in March 2017 with a fully-enclosed cab as standard, the Teleskid is offered at the 2018 Rental Show for the first time with an optional canopy. The Teleskid is equipped with a 55 kW (74 hp) JCB EcoMAX engine, requiring no DPF or DEF and is available in wheeled and tracked models with rated operating capacities of 3,208 lb (1,455 kg) and 3,695 lb (1,676 kg), respectively.
