We do not knowingly collect personal information directly about equipment operators. Telematics data relates to the machine itself.
Sources of Personal Information
We obtain personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you (website forms, account registration, support requests, event registrations, marketing preferences);
- From authorized JCB dealers (including when dealers create quotes or opportunities in our systems that include end-customer contact details);
- From LiveLink and other connected equipment systems installed on JCB machines;
- From cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our websites;
- From service providers and business partners who support our operations; and
- From publicly available sources where permitted by law.
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve our websites, products, and services;
- To process inquiries, quotes, and support requests;
- To administer LiveLink and connected equipment services, including machine monitoring, diagnostics, maintenance alerts, and related support;
- To communicate with you about products, services, promotions, and events (subject to your marketing preferences);

- To analyze usage trends, improve our offerings, and develop new products and features;
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, and other harmful activity;

Disclosure, Sharing, and “Sale” of Personal Information
JCB does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
However, we engage in targeted paid media and advertising strategies that may involve the disclosure of certain personal information (such as identifiers, internet activity, and inferences) to advertising partners and platforms. Under the CCPA/CPRA and certain other state laws, these activities may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We also disclose personal information to:
- Authorized JCB dealers (to facilitate sales, service, and support);
- Service providers who perform services on our behalf (hosting, analytics, marketing platforms, telematics infrastructure, customer support tools) under contractual restrictions;
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting, insurance) as needed;
- Affiliates within the JCB group of companies; and
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We require service providers to use personal information only for the purposes for which it was disclosed and to protect it appropriately.
LiveLink and Machine Telematics Data
JCB machines may be equipped with LiveLink or similar telematics systems that collect data about the machine, including location, operating hours, diagnostic information, fuel usage, duty cycles, and maintenance-related alerts.
This data relates to the equipment itself and is not used to identify individual operators. We use machine data to:
- Provide telematics services and support to customers and dealers;
- Improve product performance, reliability, and safety;
- Facilitate maintenance, warranty, and service activities; and
- Develop and enhance our equipment and digital offerings.
If you wish to limit or discontinue collection of certain machine data from a particular piece of equipment, please contact us using the details in Section 14 or through your authorized dealer. We will work with you and, where technically feasible, honor reasonable requests consistent with applicable law and the operational requirements of the equipment and services.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your interaction with our websites. These technologies help us operate the sites, understand usage, remember preferences, and support advertising.

Machine telematics data may be retained for longer periods to support product improvement, warranty, and historical analysis.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Our websites and services are directed to business and commercial users and are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
