Can I track machine hours, location, and diagnostics remotely?
Yes - JCB LiveLink telematics comes standard on JCB machines. It gives you live location, machine hours, fuel consumption, service alerts, and remote diagnostics through a web portal or mobile app. You can also set geofences to get notified if a machine leaves a job site or runs outside normal hours.
How do I choose between the Teleskid and the compact telehandler?
If your work involves a mix of ground-level tasks - pushing, grading, digging - plus occasional high lifts, the Teleskid handles it all in one machine. If your primary need is lifting and placing materials at height with precision, the 505-20TC is purpose-built for that. The telehandler is smoother for load placement; the Teleskid is more versatile overall.
What's the difference between a skid steer and a compact track loader?
Skid steers run on wheels - they're faster on hard, flat surfaces and cause less damage to pavement. CTLs run on rubber tracks, which gives them better flotation on soft or muddy ground, more stability on slopes, and less ground disturbance on finished surfaces. The typical terrain you work on most will affect which option works best for you.
What makes the Teleskid different from a standard compact track loader?
The JCB Teleskid stands out because it is the world’s first compact track loader with a telescopic boom. Unlike a standard compact track loader, which only lifts in a fixed vertical arc, the Teleskid can extend forward, upward, and downward - giving operators significantly more reach, depth capability, and jobsite versatility.
Can I haul these on a standard trailer, or do I need a CDL?
Most JCB compact machines can be used without a CDL, however there are still some larger models that would require one. To find out more, select the product range or machine you're interested in to view specific model specs, or contact your local dealer.

What makes the JCB Teleskid different from other compact track loaders?
The JCB Teleskid is the only compact track loader with a telescopic boom, allowing operators to lift higher, reach further and dig deeper than conventional compact track loaders.
What attachments can be used with a JCB Teleskid?
The JCB Teleskid is compatible with a wide range of attachments, including augers, trenchers, hydraulic hammers, brush cutters, buckets and pallet forks. Models equipped with high-flow hydraulics can power demanding attachments while the boom is extended, allowing operators to reach farther, place materials more precisely and perform specialized tasks from a single machine.
Can a JCB Teleskid dig below grade?
Yes. The JCB Teleskid is the only compact track loader capable of digging below grade, reaching more than 3 feet below ground level. This capability is useful for grading, drainage work and site preparation applications.
How far can a JCB Teleskid reach forward?
The Teleskid provides more than 8 feet of forward reach, allowing operators to place materials over obstacles, unload trailers from one side and work in confined areas without constantly repositioning the machine.
