POWERFUL JCB LINE-UP PROMISES FUEL SAVINGS FOR CUSTOMERS AT BAUMA AFRICA

At Bauma Africa 2013, JCB will showcase a broad range of its fuel saving heavyline equipment for the construction and mining industries alongside several models from the world’s best-selling backhoe loader range. Visitors will also get to see the first ever performance in South Africa by the world famous "JCB Dancing Diggers".

Three key new models for the African market will be unveiled. JCB’s largest ever backhoe loader - the 5CX - JCB’s largest ever wheeled loading shovel - the 467 - and a 36-tonne JS360 tracked excavator powered by JCB’s first ever 6-cylinder engine.

JCB is the number one backhoe loader manufacturer in the world and number one in Africa. Building on this experience, the all-wheel steer 5CX has been specifically designed as a flagship model for developing markets.

Boasting a 118hp Tier 2 JCB Dieselmax engine, the 5CX also features variable flow hydraulics giving fuel savings of up to 10% and JCB TorqueLock fitted as standard offering fuel savings of up to 25%. The 5CX will be shown alongside the latest 3CX, 3DX and 1CX models.

The JCB 467 wheeled loading shovel has been developed for non-emission and lower legislated markets. Structures are designed to last in excess of 20,000 service hours while fuel efficiency and productivity are also significant characteristics of the 467. If fitted with the new Driveline Efficiency Package, fuel savings of to 20% and productivity gains of up to 40% are achievable.

The 36-tonne JS360LC can now be ordered with the JCB 672 six-cylinder diesel engine. Initially available at Stage II/Tier 2 emissions levels, in growth markets such as Africa, the 7.2-litre engine offers up to a 25% fuel saving compared to previous models, with no loss of productivity.

Additional tracked excavator models on display will be the latest JS205 and JS220 models which utilise efficient engine technology to deliver fuel savings despite powerful and productive performance.
