JCB India today continues its commitment to Northeast India.
This Region is critical to JCB India’s business where the company has a total of 7 Dealers and 33 outlets in the Region.
Mr Deepak Shetty, while visiting the JCB dealership in Silchar, Podder and Podder Equipment and Project Pvt Ltd said,
"North-east India presents a significant opportunity for infrastructure development. We are proud that our presence in this part of India has been robust over the past many years. JCB's machines have been used to build infrastructure here and we are delighted to be contributing to the overall growth of this region through world-class machines"
Mr. Shetty handed over a JCB 225 Tracked Excavator to Mr. Nilesh Agarwal and a JCB 530-110 Telehandler to Mr. Budmal Baid at a Customer event at the dealership.
While handing over machines to, he further added, "These machines are built to One-Global-Quality and are proudly made in India for the world. We are delighted that they will be used extensively in the creation of world-class infrastructure in Northeastern India. Our world-class range of Excavators and Telehandlers, along with the iconic Backhoe will be used in Construction projects in different industries such as Tunnels, Railways and Crushers etc”
Mr Vivek Podder, Managing Director of Podder and Podder Equipment and Project Pvt Ltd, the company’s authorised dealer at Silchar, said, "We have been JCB dealers at Silchar since 2006. Over the past two decades, we have increased our presence to over seven touch points to remain closer to our customers. The dealership employs close to 200 people. It has two dedicated service vans for product support and has seven outlets in the region Podder and Podder are also heavily invested in the Skilling of JCB machine operators and have trained over 750 operators so far.
