 Alex, Undergraduate Engineer

'I am coming to the end of the undergraduate scheme at JCB. I have had three placements over the year; in Landpower Development, Backhoe Loader and Power Systems. I chose to do an undergraduate scheme as I wanted to gain some real engineering experience. One of the best things about an undergraduate scheme is that you get to explore and learn about machines and at the same time get paid to do it! On top of all that you get to meet loads of new people and everyone you meet has similar interest to you. My career advice would be to do a sandwich year you will love it! If I had to describe my time at JCB it would be challenging but in a good way.'
