More of today’s operators are opting for servo controls because of the ergonomic benefits of fingertip control, a more comfortable digging position, and greater visibility when excavating. In addition, many operators learn on excavators and minis which tend to offer servo controls as standard.
For these reasons, we have introduced EasyControl, a system which moves excavator controls from floor to seat, significantly improving visibility and comfort, and features servos for a light touch. EasyControl gives similar hydraulic feel and feedback to the Manual Control system. There’s a choice of SAE+ and ISO+ control patterns (including an option to switch between the two), and the seat-mounted controls allow you to operate the excavator while facing to the side, giving you the benefit of greater comfort and visibility.
HOW IT WORKS
- The excavator is operated using the two seat-mounted, servo-control joysticks while the loader is operated via a manual floor-mounted control lever to the right hand.
- To operate the excavator auxiliary circuit (eg hammer) the left foot pushes the floor button, and lifts off to stop.
- To operate the Extradig the right-hand thumb uses the joystick-mounted proportional rocker switch – left in, right out.
- To operate the 6-in-1 use the proportional rocker switch on the loader control lever.
