Machines involved in handling
Glass:
With a choice of tyres to protect against punctures, a
large number of JCB Wastemasters are perfect for safe
glass handling applications.
Compact and manoeuvrable, the JCB skid steer loader
features a single-arm design similar to the larger Teletruk
or Loadall. This gives safe access into and out of the cab;
there is no need to climb over awkward attachments
or stillages. Bumper bars protect against contact damage,
and a choice of tyres guarantees puncture resistance
and 100% uptime.
The JCB Teletruk is ideal for unloading kerbside recycling
trucks and can be fitted with a 360° rotator making the
emptying process a quick and simple task. It can also
be fitted with a quickhitch to allow easy changes from
forks to bucket to sweeper . . . whatever attachment
you need.
For unloading containers or stockpiling, compact and
full-sized Loadalls, such as the 527-55 and 541-70
Wastemasters, offer excellent ground-level and highlevel
reach capabilities. Complete with forks or buckets,
these telescopic handlers also work effectively with
rotators for emptying stillages.
A bucket with top grab ensures excellent load retention
to maximise productivity and with up to 7 metres of lift
height capability, loadover height is not an issue.
The JCB wheeled loading shovel range is also a popular
choice for glass. Some operators prefer articulated
steering to four-wheel steer and with bucket capacities
ranging from 1 to 5 cubic metres you are sure to find
one to suit your needs.
In addition, cab, light and underbelly protection is fitted
to all JCB Wastemaster models ensuring complete
operator and machine protection. Additional air
filtration protects engine and operator against this
often-dusty environment. And finally, a sweeper
collector that can be fitted to many of the machines
helps tidy away the inevitable broken glass and debris.
